[Mi-sky] Negative grading

Our teachers use this method to give grade reductions for attendance
reasons at the end of every term.  Add an assignment that has a point
value of 0.  The students that need to have a grade reduction will have
an assignment score of a negative number and the other students should
have the assignment marked as "No Count".  Seems to work well for our
teachers.

I need some brainstorming help

 

We are looking at eliminating attendance at our career center next year.

 

We grade on 6 week units.

 

What we would like to do is deduct 2% off the final 6 week grade for
every chargeable absence the student has incurred.

 

Is there a way to add it in the grade book as an assignment and have it
deduct negatively for the entire term???

 

Any other suggestions would be great!
